BIOGRAPHY

Black and white images, silver gelatine prints 30 x 40 cm

Stages of personal experience become the mirror of time.
Critical moments, cross roads, sections create their own symbols. Memories create images – or better – images impress memories. The analysis of existing photos is an analysis of personal decisions.
The images are documents of their time. The photographs are individually created sole images.
The story behind only develops by the time factor. The selection is made now. The today’s evaluation photos reflects the corresponding time.
Presumably after 10 years a similar series of pictures will be seen different from the pictures ten years ago. LINK TO GALLERY.

TO THE SEA

Colour photographs 2004 - 06
Pigment prints 100 x 61 cm

Longing for the sea is the object of this work. In the panorama views persons are lost subjects in a wide area of landscape. The human being is decoration and pattern at the same time. The large format images show subtle moments of meeting human beings with the sea. The images are not part of a performance. The active, lived moment is the main point. The picture section is the stage. The constellation, the dramarturgic scene is created by life events.

It was the intention to reach high precision of the photographic image in a narrative horizontal format reminding of the tradition of romantic panorama scenery. LINK TO GALLERY.

REALITY SHOW

Colour prints, 100x70 cm

The moment experienced is the main subject.
The photographer takes her inspiration from scenarios depicting the subjects in their role play.
She takes images for intensive viewing purpose in the tradition of classical panoramic photography:
Each picture has its own story and its own mystery.
Contrary to more mainstream photography, the images are not staged. The panoramic scenes are similar to a reality show.
The image is the stage.
